2023 FOX HOLESHOT WINNERS | PRADO AND LAENGENFELDER

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 27 September 2023 – Infront Moto Racing has been thrilled to continue the Fox Holeshot competition throughout the 2023 season of the FIM Motocross World Championship.
Throughout the years, with the standards in motocross increasing, the sophistication of equipment, and the skill levels of athletes, we have witnessed a corresponding increase in the significance of making a strong start. In every Grand Prix , the importance of strong starts is pivotal in securing an early lead to maximise the chances of success.
How does the competition work?
Every Grand Prix race, during both MXGP and MX2 races, the rider who crosses the white line painted on the ground at the exit of the first corner secures the Fox Holeshot and receives one point. At the end of the season, the two riders, one per category, with the most Fox Holeshot points will win the mega prize!
This year, Jorge Prado of Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing claimed the Fox Holeshot Award crown in MXGP, marking his third consecutive victory in this category. He reaffirmed his dominance as the rider to beat when it comes to lightning-fast starts. Throughout the 2023 season, Prado amassed an impressive 14 Fox Holeshot plates, facing stiff competition from Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jeremy Seewer, who secured 11. Additionally, Kawasaki Racing Team’s Romain Febvre and Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team’s Glenn Coldenhoff both achieved 5 Fox Holeshots this season, sharing the third spot.
In the MX2 category, Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing’s Simon Laengenfelder secured the Fox Holeshot Award for the very first time in his career, demonstrating an absolute dominance in getting out of the gate. In the 2023 season, Laengenfelder impressively notched up a total of 11 Fox Holeshots. His closest competitors were Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jago Geerts, who achieved 7, and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Liam Everts, who managed 4.
Prado and Laengenfelder were both presented with their FOX Holeshot awards during the MXGP Awards ceremony, which was broadcasted globally through live streams on MXGP's Facebook and YouTube channels, as well as www.MXGP-TV.com.
