Italy is always an important stop in the world motocross championship.
30 YEARS OF PROMOTING MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

BARILOCHE (Patagonia-Argentina) 7 March 2026 – The 2026 MXGP season marks a historic milestone as we celebrate 30 years of promotion of the Motocross World Championship; three decades dedicated to growing, protecting and elevating the sport at the highest level.
From Action Group to Youthstream and today’s Infront Moto Racing, this remarkable journey has been driven by one consistent vision: a belief in motocross as a truly global World Championship. Over three decades, the series has evolved into a truly international spectacle, elevating motocross to new heights while preserving the core values of the sport.
Under the leadership of Giuseppe Luongo, and later David Luongo, the championship has transformed from a traditional series into a worldwide platform that unites riders, teams, manufacturers and fans across continents – shaping MXGP into the global motorsport platform it is today.
Officially launching this special anniversary year in Argentina for the first Grand Prix of the 2026 series, a dedicated photoshoot with the MXGP riders on their bikes was held, capturing a symbolic moment that immortalises three decades of commitment, passion, and world championship racing.
The 30-year celebration honours not only the legacy built since 1996, but also the continued growth and global future of the FIM Motocross World Championship.
Thirty years on, the story continues.. stronger than ever and still writing the future of motocross.
