ACERBIS BEST LAP SET BY GAJSER AND ADAMO IN TURKIYE

It’s time for Acerbis Best Lap! The MXGP of Türkiye took place at the usual Afyon track as it had done during the last 5 times for seveteenth round of 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship.

The weekend has been full of event with severe weather condition on the Saturday that changed the characteristics of the track overnight for Sunday races. This proved to add another challebnge for the riders. In the end it was Team HRC's Tim Gajser who finally signed his way back to the top with a Grand Prix win, a year after his last voctory already in Türkiye. Gajser als set the fastest time of the weekend along the way for the first time this season. Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing's Jorge Prado still lead the competition with six fastest time this season in front of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings who has four.

In MX2 it was Red Plate Red Bull KTM Factiory Racing Andrea Adamo who set the fastest lap on a tough Grand Prix for the Itlian who finished 6th overall. Adamo still showed that speed is not an issue as he set his fourth fastest lap of the season closing the gap in the competition with Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team’s Jago Geerts who keeps leading the competition with 5 best laps.

MXGP: Tim Gajser on Race 2 Lap 4 with 1:52.428

MX2: Andrea Adamo on Race 2 Lap 11 with 1:53.649
 

In order to remind fans of what the competition consists of; at the end of each event, the fastest rider in MXGP and MX2 will obtain a point. The rider with the most points in each class at the conclusion of the Championship will receive a prize from ACERBIS, which will be awarded at the MXGP Awards.
