Acerbis Best Lap set by Herlings and Benistant in Latvia

It’s time for Acerbis Best Lap! The MXGP of Latvia was held at Kegums for the eighth round of the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship and the fastest time set in MXGP was by the winner of the GP Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Jeffrey Herlings on lap 3 of Race 1 while in MX2, it was Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team’s Thibault Benistant who set the fastest lap on lap 16 of Race 1. 

Jeffrey Herlings set his fourth fastest lap of the season and took the lead of the competition while Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing's Jorge Prado is on 3 points. 

In MX2, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team’s Jago Geerts is still leading the MX2 Acerbis Best Lap with 3 points ahead of Thibault Benistant all on 2 points thanks to his fastest lap in Latvia.

MX2: Thibault Benistant  on Race 1 Lap 16 with 02:00.959
 

In order to remind fans of what the competition consists of; at the end of each event, the fastest rider in MXGP and MX2 will obtain a point. The rider with the most points in each class at the conclusion of the Championship will receive a prize from ACERBIS, which will be awarded at the MXGP Awards.
