DP19 Racing and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Offer a Warm Welcome

With MXGP’s first European round, yet the fourth of eighteen upon us, a couple of regular fixtures in the paddock of MXGP took the opportunity to officially present their 2014 squads to Youthstream and the media yesterday Friday, 11 April.

David Philippaerts, the 2008 FIM Motocross World Champion has formed his own team, DP19 Racing. Philippaerts was excited to announce he has returned to Yamaha the same brand which took him to his 2008 world title, and has welcomed onboard a number of new sponsors who back him 100% in his 2014 MXGP world title campaign. Upon thanking his sponsors, David Philippaerts and his co-team manager Alex Casella personally extended their thanks to Youthstream President Mr. Giuseppe Luongo, who was in attendance, for his faith and support. The team ‘DP19 Racing’ rounded out the event with a buffet service.

Meanwhile, Lakeside at the Spiaggia Olivi – Restaurant Lake Club, the entire Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team and ‘orange army’ hosted their annual KTM party which offered a warm and friendly welcome to all official journalists and photographers. All KTM greats were present, KTM Motorsport Manager Pit Beirer explained “I am still, as every year, very proud of the team we have here at KTM, from the mechanics right through to the riders, it’s fantastic and I am very proud. Last year, was for KTM the biggest and the best year ever, reaching our target sales, and I am sure it is because we have this close link between racing and our team Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and our customers, clients and dealers. Our success in sales is based on the great faces present here (the entire Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team) so we are stronger than ever and we will continue to strive for more in the future, as Stefan Everts always says; the best is yet to come”. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager’s Claudio De Carli and Stefan Everts also took the chance to say a few words, expressing their excitement for the season,  as well as the four riders seven-time FIM Motocross World Champion Antonio Cairoli, Ken De Dycker, two-time FIM Motocross MX2 World Champion Jeffrey Herlings and Jordi Tixier.

As always, the Red Bull was flowing as KTM put on a lovely event offering a full meal service in the delightful Restaurant Lake Club.
