Fox Holeshot Films – MXGP of Flanders-Belgium

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 2 August 2021 – MXGP is thrilled to continue the Fox Holeshot competition, that is running throughout the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship season, together with MXGP partner Fox.

How does the competition work?

During both MXGP and MX2 races, the rider who crosses the white line painted on the ground at the exit of the first corner will be awarded 1 point. At the end of the season, the 2 riders, one per category, with the most Fox Holeshot points will win the mega prize!

During the MXGP of Flanders-Belgium, it was Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Romain Febvre and Ivo Monticelli who dominated the starts in both MXGP races, though it was Febvre who led both races and finished the day with a 2-1 result to take his first overall Grand Prix victory in Lommel!

In MX2, it was Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle who was the first recipient of the Fox Holeshot as he very briefly let race one, meanwhile in the second race, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Kay De Wolf was unmatched from the start to finish as he grabbed the second Fox Holeshot and led the race until the chequered flag despite immense pressure from Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jago Geerts.

As it stands, Jorge Prado still leads the competition with five points, ahead of Romain Febvre who has four, while in MX2, it’s Simon Längenfelder of Diga Procross GasGas Factory Racing and Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jago Geerts, Thibault Benistant and Tom Vialle in joint first with two points each.
