LAST TRAINING FOR TEAM SLOVENIA BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE USA

The Slovenian motocross team completed their final training session at the Radizel track before leaving for the USA, where they will compete in the Motocross of Nations this weekend.

Team manager Sašo Kragelj gathered the boys for a last training session before leaving for Crawfordsville, where the most important national motocross race of the season, the Motocross of Nations race, will take place this weekend. At the famous Radizel track, Tim Gajser, Jan Pancar and Jaka Peklaj, under the watchful eye of the team coach, honed the last details and little things that they believe could come in handy at the race in Indiana and that they will need in their hunt for the best possible rankings in individual races.

Gajser will represent Slovenia in the MXGP class, Pancar in the MX Open class, and Peklaj in the MX2 class. The Slovenian motocross team is heading to America in good spirits and with the desire to repeat last year's excellent result, when they took seventh place in Matterley Basin and set the best Slovenian result in the history of this competition.

“The boys set a big milestone with last year's race. I am sure that, given their experience and form, this will not cause additional stress and high expectations. The fact is that all three of them are in excellent shape and that we are among the eight best in the world. Every driver's wish, and mine too, is to achieve the best possible ranking, but we must know that in such competitions it is necessary to have a lot of sporting luck. I am sure that we will all give our best and that after the race we will look forward to another success for the Slovenian national team,”

said team manager Kragelj, who also introduced the boys to the wider Slovenian sports public at a press conference at the AMZS headquarters last week. There are 37 teams registered for this year's Motocross of Nations, and nineteen of them will earn a place in Sunday's finals in Saturday's qualifications.
