MXGP ACADEMY CLOSES THE YEAR IN TURKIYE

The MXGP Academy is taking place for the last time this season at the MXGP of Turkiye at Afyon this weekend. It gave enthusiastic young motocross riders the chance to develop their skills and learn what it is needed to succeed professionally in the FIM Motocross World Championship.  

The youngsters learned from the experienced Jan Postema, Martin van Genderen and Barry Forschelen as well as local trainers throughout Friday and Saturday.

The MXGP Academy kicked out on Friday with a briefing for riders and parents. This was followed by a rider educational session where they gained knowledge about safety regulations including flag signals as well as additional instructions from the trainers. 

Following the riders training, the parents were also educated and instructed on the significance of communication as well as how to combine verbal and nonverbal methods. Riders had the opportunity to practise and ride in order to learn as much as they could about riding skills at the day's final riding session.

The youngsters got the opportunity to have special access to the paddock on Saturday morning, and were fortunate to enjoy a tour of the outstanding facilities of Team Gebben Van Venroy Yamaha Racing as well as the tent of Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing. They also took this opportunity to visit the structure and truck of Pirelli to give them an idea of the whole MXGP paddock. 

It concluded another full year for the MXGP Academy which guided, taught and helped throughout the year, many young riders in their quest to become professional motocross riders.
