MXGP OF LATVIA OPENING PRESS CONFERENCE AT RIGA MOTOR MUSEUM

RIGA (Latvia) 7 June 2024 – The MXGP of Latvia was officially launched today with an Opening Press Conference held at the prestigious Riga Motor Museum. This event brought together, MXGP, government officials as well as Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Jeffrey Herlings and VRT Yamaha Official EMX250's Karlis Reisulis, marking the beginning of an exciting weekend of world-class racing.

The press conference saw Daniele RizziCOO of Infront Moto Racing, highlighting the importance of the Latvian Grand Prix in the MXGP calendar and the pride to work with the Latvian Federation for many years. Joining the press conference by video was the Latvian Minister of Education and Science Anda Čakša, emphasising the government's support for the event. Also present, the President of the LAMSF Federation Mārtiņš Lazdovskis, spoke about the federation's role in promoting motocross in Latvia.

Kristers Serģis, the event organizer, explained how important it was to provide an unforgettable experience for the Latvian fans. Roberts Justs, highlighted the importance for Latvia of educational and developmental aspects of motocross for young riders.

The winner of the 2023 edition Jeffrey Herlings mentionned that he was glad to return to a sand track in a place where he won multiple times while Latvian hero Karlis Reisulis expressed his pride and excitements in representing his home country and his eagerness to perform in front of local fans.

The Opening Press Conference at the Riga Motor Museum successfully kicked off the MXGP of Latvia, setting the stage for an exhilarating weekend of motocross action. Fans and participants alike can look forward to thrilling races and intense competition in all the classes.
