MXGP OF LOMBOK OPENING PRESS CONFERENCE KICKS OFF FINAL RACE DAY IN INDONESIA

LOMBOK (Indonesia) 7 July 2024 – The excitement and anticipation were palpable as the Opening Press Conference of the MXGP of Lombok officially launched the last racing day in Indonesia for the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship. The press conference highlighted the significance of this major international event for the local community and the global motocross scene.

Prominent figures in attendance included Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo, FIM/CMS Director Antonio Alia Portela, Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Mayjen TNI (Purn) Dr. Hassanudin, S.I.P., MM, Chairman of MXGP Indonesia, Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, S.E., M.Sc, and Deputi 3 for Sport Cultivation and Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, Komjen. Pol. (Purn) Drs. Rudy Sufahriadi.

Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo mentioned the success and importance of the Grand Prix for both motocross and the local community. Adding that the MXGP of Lombok represents more than just a race; it is a celebration of sport, youth, and culture. Also that the support from the Indonesian authorities and the enthusiasm of the fans have been incredible so far.

FIM/CMS Director Antonio Alia Portela also praised the warm reception from the local community and commended the high level of competition, despite the challenging hot weather conditions make this event truly remarkable.

Governor Dr. Hassanudin expressed immense pride in hosting such a prestigious event. He emphasised the positive impact on the region, highlighting the boost to tourism and the opportunity to showcase West Nusa Tenggara on an international stage. Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah was thankful for another year with these Indonesia Grand Prix that attract the international recignition while Drs. Rudy Sufahriadi emphasised the important for the youth of West Nusa Tenggara to see these athletes and event on their doorstep and the positive impact it has.
