Rest in Peace Hakan Carlqvist

Youthstream is sad to learn of the passing of the two-time FIM Motocross World Champion Hakan Carlqvist.

Carlqvist won the 1979 250CC Championship for Factory Husqvarna and the 1983 500CC Class while aboard a Yamaha. The Swedish rider was 63, a true legend that will not soon be forgotten.

A couple of years ago we had the chance to write an article on him, whose title was 'Hakan Carlqvist the warrior'. That's how the MXGP family wish to remember him. Rest in Peace Hakan!
