RISING STARS TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT 2025 YZ BLU CRU FIM EUROPE CUP SUPERFINALE IN SWEDEN

The 2025 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale will take place from August 15 to 17 alongside the 16th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Uddevalla, Sweden. 118 of Europe’s best young riders, representing 27 countries, will line up on the same track as the sport’s biggest MXGP stars, aiming for a coveted place in the exclusive BLU CRU Masterclass, where they will receive expert coaching, mentorship, and compete for the ultimate prize: Yamaha support in 2026.
The BLU CRU program sits at the heart of Yamaha Racing’s development pyramid, serving as the essential foundation where young riders build the skills, experience, and professionalism needed to progress through Yamaha’s racing ranks. It provides a clear, structured pathway from grassroots competition through to the European MX Championships, MX2 and ultimately MXGP, reflecting Yamaha’s commitment to fostering talent at every stage of a rider’s career.
The Glimminge Motorstadion will provide a spectacular stage for this year’s YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale. Known for its challenging, hard-packed, stony terrain and dramatic cliffside backdrop, the Uddevalla venue has been a fixture on the MXGP calendar since 2001. Its selection for 2025 marks a milestone for the BLU CRU program, bringing the SuperFinale to Scandinavia for the first time, fitting for a region that consistently produces over 40% of the riders in the series.
The YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup program supports riders across three categories: YZ125, YZ85, and YZ65. In 2025, more than 818 riders, aged eight to 16, participated in various regional and national cups and championships across Europe, showcasing the program’s impressive growth and expanding international reach.
The YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale field demonstrates remarkable international diversity, with riders hailing not only from traditional European motocross powerhouses such as Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, and Spain but also from nations further afield, including Thailand, Japan, Israel, and Iceland. The growing presence of female riders adds further inclusivity and vibrancy to the competition.
At the YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale, the top three riders from each category and two wildcards will earn a coveted spot at the exclusive BLU CRU Masterclass. This two-day event offers expert training, mentorship, and a glimpse into the professional motocross environment, and it is where the eventual winners will be chosen. For the selected YZ125 winner, the ultimate reward is a ride with a Yamaha-supported team in the 2026 EMX125 Championship, while the winners picked from the YZ85 and YZ65 classes will receive Yamaha support and GYTR parts for the following season.
The 2025 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale promises to be a thrilling showcase of emerging talent, skill, and ambition, set against the vibrant atmosphere of a World Championship event.
