TEAM ITALY ANNOUNCES ITS SQUAD FOR THE 2026 MXON

Italy fields Adamo, Bonacorsi and Zanchi

Italy will arrive in Ernée, France, on 3 and 4 October for the 2026 Motocross of Nations with a young but determined team, ready to play all its cards. With an average age of 22, the Italian squad is one of the most eagerly anticipated teams at this end-of-season event, especially since it secured an excellent third-place finish in France in 2023.

FMI Technical Commissioner Thomas Traversini has selected:

Andrea Adamo. Born in Erice (TP) on 22 August 2003. Bike: KTM. Motoclub: La Rocca. MXoN Class: MXGP. Race Number: 16.

Ferruccio Zanchi. Born in Florence on 6 September 2006. Bike: Ducati. Motoclub: Bonanni. MXoN Class: MX2. Race Number: 17.

Andrea Bonacorsi. Born in Bergamo on 23 April 2003. Bike: Ducati. Motoclub: Berbenno. MXoN Class: Open. Race Number: 18.

Alberto Forato (reserve). Born in Feltre (BL) on 30 March 2000. Bike: Fantic. Motoclub: Orbassano Racing.

Giovanni Copioli, FMI President: “We will head to Ernée with a young team that is eager to achieve a strong result. Our riders have already shown how much the Maglia Azzurra means to them, and they will proudly represent our country in front of the large crowd expected at the French circuit.”

Thomas Traversini, FMI Technical Commissioner: “We will go to France knowing that we have what it takes to make our mark, just as we did in 2023 with our third-place finish. The track suits our characteristics well, and the riders are already highly motivated and fired up. We are a great group, and I can guarantee that everyone will give their absolute maximum.”
