Timoteï Cez Continues To Dominate The 2023 Junior e-Motocross Series With Another Double Race Victory In Germany

Teutschenthal (Germany) 12 June 2023 – Maintaining his perfect season of race wins, France’s Timoteï Cez charged to a stunning pair of victories aboard his GASGAS MC-E 5 at round three of the 2023 Junior e-Motocross Series in Germany. Placing second and keeping the pressure on Cez all weekend long was British racer Austin Edwards (KTM) who climbed onto the overall podium for the first time this year with Adan Quesada (KTM) from Spain rounding out the podium in third.

Another full line-up of 40 enthusiastic young riders from across Europe made their way to Teutschenthal in Germany for round three of the 2023 European Junior e-Motocross Series. The technical circuit offered very similar conditions to those seen at the previous round in France, with deep ruts creating a challenging race track. With the track at its smoothest for Saturday morning’s qualifying session, series leader Cez posted the fastest time ahead of Edwards and Quesada.

Leading every lap of race one, Cez rode faultlessly to take his fifth win from five starts only this time, Edwards matched the Frenchman’s pace throughout the seven-minute-plus-one-lap race. Crossing the line just over one second from victory, Austin thoroughly enjoyed recording his best result of the season so far. The fight for third was equally as close with Quesada successfully fending off a hard-charging Jordan Cadenel (GASGAS) from France for the final spot on the podium.

The second race results mirrored race one with Cez taking the win over Edwards while in another close battle for third, KTM SX-E 5 rider Quesada kept Cadenel at bay for the duration of the moto.

Overall, Cez stood on top of the podium and now leads the series by 28 points over the consistent Cadenel with two rounds remaining. Quesada advances from fifth to third following his strong rides in Germany with Camronn Gautier (KTM) and Edwards placed fourth and fifth respectively.

The 2023 European Junior e-Motocross Series concludes on the weekend of July 15-16 with a double header event at the Loket circuit in the Czech Republic. The penultimate event takes place on the Saturday with the fifth and decisive final round taking place on Sunday.

Timoteï Cez: “It’s great to win again. The track was similar to France with all the deep ruts and it was really technical. It was close in the first race. Austin was riding really well and he was right behind me the whole time so I had to ride smart and not make any mistakes. I’ve got a nice lead in the series standings but there are still four races to go. I like the track in Loket and I can’t wait to go there and race next month.”
