Fox Holeshot Films – MXGP of Latvia

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 10 August 2021 – MXGP is thrilled to continue the Fox Holeshot competition, that is running throughout the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship season, together with MXGP partner Fox.

How does the competition work?

During both MXGP and MX2 races, the rider who crosses the white line painted on the ground at the exit of the first corner will be awarded 1 point. At the end of the season, the 2 riders, one per category, with the most Fox Holeshot points will win the mega prize!

During the MXGP of Latvia the MXGP starts were dominated by race one winner Jeffrey Herlings of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Romain Febvre who was the Fox Holeshot recipient in race two. Herlings went on to finish on the podium despite an unlucky second race, while Febvre missed out on a top three finish this time around.

Meanwhile in MX2, the Fox Holeshot was won in both races by Mattia Guadagnini who made the perfect comeback after a tough Grand Prix in Lommel to go 2-3 for third overall.

As it stands, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado and Romain Febvre are tied on five points in the Fox Holeshot Award standings, while in MX2 Mattia Guadagnini edges out with three points thanks to his starts in Kegums this past weekend.

MXGP action will resume in a few weeks as the series heads to Turkey for a special double-header Grand Prix!
