CRAWFORDSVILLE (Indiana, USA) 2 October 2025 – Infront Moto Racing is thrilled to present the provisional 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship Calendar, featuring 20 rounds across some of the sport’s most iconic and challenging venues. The season will conclude with the prestigious Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France, on 4 October 2026.

The 2026 season will begin on 22 February with a yet-to-be-announced venue before heading to Argentina on 8 March, on a location to be announced soon for the now traditional South American round. Two weeks later, MXGP heads to Spain for the Doñana Xperience Almonte MXGP of Andalucia, taking place for the very first time in Almonte in the province of Huelva, in the heart of the Andalusian region on 22 March for the first European outing, followed directly by Switzerland in Frauenfeld on 29 March, the first back-to-back races of the year.

Then there will be a strong spring block in Europe. April will see the Italian double-header with Riola Sardo (Sardegna) on 12 April and Pietramurata (Trentino) on 19 April, both firm and regular fixtures in the early MXGP calendar.

The championship resumes after a two-week break in Great Britain on 10 May at a venue to be announce shortly, before an intense triple-header unfolds:

• France (Lacapelle Marival) on 24 May
• Germany (Teutschenthal) on 31 May
• Latvia (Kegums) on 7 June

Then summer heat will start to come as the series travels back to Italy, with Montevarchi hosting the MXGP of Italy on 21 June, followed by another back-to-back pairing with Portugal (Águeda) on 28 June.

After a short pause, July resumes with a hot triple header, comprising of a TBA event on 19 July, before moving straight to Czech Republic (Loket) on 26 July. The back-to-back flows directly into Flanders (Lommel) on 2 August, creating a high-intensity triple-header.

In August, the action heads north with Sweden (Uddevalla) on 16 August and the Netherlands (Arnhem) on 23 August, another back-to-back weekend to close the European summer.

The decisive overseas phase of the championship begins the grand finale in September with a triple-header:

• Turkiye (Afyonkarahisar) on 6 September
• China (Shanghai) on 13 September
• Australia (Darwin) on 20 September

This challenging run of three consecutive overseas races will bring the 2026 season to a spectacular close.

Women’s and European Championships

The 2026 FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship (WMX) will be featuring 6 rounds starting in Great Britain to then go to France and Germany. Going to Italy and Netherlands as it has done for the past few years and will conclude once again in Australia for an amazing final in Darwin.

The FIM Europe European Motocross Championships (EMX) will once again feature the EMX250 and EMX125 categories with 12 rounds scheduled, alongside selected appearances of EMX65, EMX85, EMX2t, and EMXOpen. The finals for EMX65, EMX85, and EMX2t will take its usual place in Loket (Czech Republic), while Lommel (Belgium) will once again host the EMXOpen finale.

In addition, the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship as announce earlier this year, will take place on 5 July in Jinin, Czech Republic, continuing its role in developing the next generation of motocross stars.

The season will conclude with the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France (2–4 October 2026), where riders from across the globe will unite to compete for national pride in what promises to be an unforgettable climax to the season in the iconic venue.

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 24th September 2025 – Infront Moto Racing is proud to continue its partnership with Acerbis for the Acerbis Best Lap Competition, a highlight of the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship.

This season once again delivered unforgettable action across MXGP and MX2, with the Acerbis Best Lap awards shining a spotlight on the riders who combined speed, focus, and determination to clock the fastest laps of the year.

How does the competition work?

At the end of each Grand Prix, the rider who records the fastest lap in both MXGP and MX2 earns one point in the Acerbis Best Lap Competition. The rider with the most points at the end of the season takes home the Acerbis Best Lap Award, officially presented during the MXGP Awards ceremony.

After winning the Acerbis Best Lap Award in MX2 in 2024, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Lucas Coenen carried his raw pace into the premier class in 2025, securing the MXGP Acerbis Best Lap Award with 8 fastest laps across the 20-round season, 40% of all races.

His ability to find another level of speed under pressure highlighted his debut MXGP campaign. Coenen becomes one of the few riders to win the Acerbis Best Lap title in both categories, and he did it in back-to-back years.

Behind him, Red Bull KTM teammate Jeffrey Herlings finished with 4 fastest laps while Tim Gajser from Honda HRC and Romain Febvre from Kawasaki Racing Team each posted 3.

In MX2, Simon Längenfelder from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing delivered blistering pace all season long to secure the MX2 Acerbis Best Lap Award with 6 fastest laps, representing 30% of the season’s races.

Just behind, Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Kay de Wolf finished just behind with 5 followed by Red Bull KTM riders Sacha Coenen with 4 and Andrea Adamo with 2 which shows the tightness in the series this year.

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 24th September 2025 – Infront Moto Racing is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Fox Holeshot competition, which once again highlighted the importance of lightning-fast starts across the FIM Motocross World Championship season. The launch out of the gate and control through the opening corner remain decisive moments in modern motocross, and riders continue to push the limits to master this vital skill. The prize was given in person by Kenny Day, FOX Global sports Marketing Manager.

How does the competition work?
At every MXGP and MX2 Grand Prix, the first rider to cross the white line painted at the exit of the first corner secures the Fox Holeshot and earns one point in the special Holeshot classification. At the end of the season, the rider with the most points in each category wins the Fox Holeshot Award, presented during the annual MXGP Awards ceremony.

In MXGP, in only his rookie season in the premier class, Lucas Coenen of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing made an immediate impact by taking the 2025 MXGP Fox Holeshot Award with a remarkable 13 Fox Holeshots. The Belgian’s explosive speed out of the gate quickly set him apart as one of the sharpest starters in the field, giving him the advantage race after race.

World Champion Romain Febvre from Kawasaki Racing Team and Glenn Coldenhoff from Fantic Factory Racing tied for second place with 7 Fox Holeshots each, while Aruba.it – Ducati Factory MX Team’s Jeremy Seewer ranked fourth with 3.

In MX2, Sacha Coenen of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing once again underlined his reputation as one of the fastest starters in motocross. For the second consecutive season, the young Belgian earned the MX2 Fox Holeshot Award, and once again with a stunning 16 Fox Holeshots, more than double his closest rival who was his teammate and MX2 World Champion Simon Längenfelder finishing second with 7 Holeshots.

They were followed by 2023 World Champion Andrea Adamo, also representing Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, with 6. Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Liam Everts completed the top four with 2.
