TEUTSCHENTHAL (Germany) 12 June 2022 – Gaining in popularity with every passing round, the third stop of the European Junior e-Motocross Series attracted a record line-up or 35 riders from 13 countries. The strong entry delivered close racing throughout both races around the Teutschenthal circuit in Germany with the overall victory secured by young French racer Timoteï Cez. Joining Cez on the rostrum were a pair of British racers, Austin Edwards in second with Cameron Berry in third.

Racing to victory at round one of the European Junior e-Motocross Series just two weeks ago in Spain, Timoteï Cez endured a tough second round at home in France to place seventh overall. Eager to put his title aspirations back on track in Germany the youngster was flawless all weekend. Posting the fastest time in qualifying, he then stormed to victory in both races to secure his second overall win of the series.

In the opening race, Cez lead from start to finish aboard his KTM SX-E 5 while an intense battle for the remaining spots on the podium unfolded behind him. Round two overall runner-up Austin Edwards was on the move throughout the seven minute plus one lap race, advancing from fourth on lap one to make the pass for the runner-up position on the final lap. Spaniard Logan Liberal Rodas chased Edwards across finish line for third with current series leader, Berry, who crashed twice, in sixth.

Race two saw Cez once again show his competition the fast way around the hardpack circuit, claiming another impressive victory and securing maximum points. Capitalising on their strong starts, Berry, Austria’s Elias Eder, and Edwards quickly found themselves in a race-long fight for a place on the podium. It was Berry who would come out on top of the tussle to finish as runner-up, with Eder third and Edwards fourth. At the finish line, the trio were separated by just three seconds in what was a truly intense end to the second race in Germany.

At the conclusion of an exciting third round, Berry retains the European Junior e-Motocross Series lead by just a single point over Cez, while the super-consistent Edwards advances to third. Now, with only two rounds to go and 100 points still up for grabs, the series will conclude with a double header event at the MXGP of Czech Republic on July 16-17.

Timoteï Cez: “My weekend went really well here in Germany. I must thank my parents and all of my sponsors. It was just a perfect weekend for me. I had good starts in both races, which helped a lot, and I love this kind of track with it being hardpack and all the beautiful ruts. It’s great to win again and I’m excited for the final two rounds next month.”

Cameron Berry: “The first race wasn’t so good as I crashed twice but I was able to finish sixth and score some good points. Race two was much better for me by finishing second and I wasn’t too far from the leader, so I was much happier with that one. I’m in a good position with the series lead going into the final two rounds so I’m happy and excited for the trip to Loket.”

ERNEE (France) – 5 June 2022 - The 2022 European Junior e-Motocross Series continued in France this weekend where British racer Cameron Berry claimed a hard-fought overall victory at round two. Mastering the muddy conditions in race one to take his first win of the season, the KTM SX-E 5 rider, who was celebrating his birthday in France, placed fourth in race two to secure the top spot on the podium and move into the series lead. Joining Berry on the rostrum was fellow Brit Austin Edwards together with French rider Noé Methais in third.

Taking place at the historical hillside circuit of Ernée in north-west France, round two of the 2022 European Junior e-Motocross Series tested the ability of each young rider and their e-powered machinery. Adding to the challenge of the iconic track were the weather conditions on Saturday, which postponed race one until Sunday morning, with race two taking place in the afternoon in front of the largest crowd to ever witness the pioneering series.

Shortly after the gate dropped for race one, a battle at the front quickly emerged between home favourite Noé Methais and battling Brits Cameron Berry and Austin Edwards. Leading the way for three laps, Methais would ultimately finish third in the race as Berry and Edwards advanced on the final lap with Cameron going on to claim victory from Austin. Last weekend’s overall winner, France’s Timoteï Cez, would place 19^th aboard his KTM.

Race two was all about the top three overall from round one in Spain. From the start, Austria’s Elias Eder was never headed throughout the seven-minute-plus-one-lap race as he charged to a well-deserved win for his second victory this season. Early series leader, Timoteï Cez, would place second ahead of Spain’s Logan Liberal Rodas in third, who was chased across the finish line by race one winner Berry, in fourth.

After two rounds of European Junior e-Motocross Series action, it’s round two winner Berry who now leads the series with a healthy 14-point margin. Behind the Brit, the next five riders are separated by just eight points and led by round one winner, Cez, in second, with Eder just one point adrift in third.

The 2022 European Junior e-Motocross Series continues with round three next weekend in Germany on June 11-12.

Cameron Berry: “It feels really good to win here in France and to be leading the series now is amazing! The first race was really muddy and difficult, but I still enjoyed it and winning that one was awesome. The second race was good too. I’m really happy with today and I’m looking forward to Germany next weekend.”

intu-Xanadù - ARROYOMOLINOS (Spain) 29 May 2022 – Young French rider Timoteï Cez has emerged victorious at the opening round of the 2022 European Junior e-Motocross Series in Spain. Racing to victory under the Spanish sunshine in race one, the KTM SX-E 5 mounted rider claimed third in race two to secure overall victory. Rounding out an all KTM overall podium were Austria’s Elias Eder in second, with Logan Liberal Rodas, racing in front of an enthusiastic home crowd, placing third.

The spectacular intu Xanadú circuit in Spain was the beautiful setting for round one of the 2022 European Junior e-Motocross Series. After an early qualifying session on Saturday morning to determine gate pick for both races, the strong line-up of excited young riders took to the start line later in the day for the highly anticipated opening race of the season.

After the gate dropped in race one, second-fastest qualifier Timoteï Cez led every lap to deliver an impressive start to finish victory. Challenging him for the lead throughout the seven-minute-plus-one-lap race was Great Britain’s Cameron Berry (KTM) who crossed the finish line just under one second behind the Frenchman for second. Berry was closely followed home by Spain’s Logan Liberal Rodas in third with the fastest qualifier, Elias Eder, fourth.

Fast starting Berry led the opening lap of the second race before Eder made the pass for the lead on lap two. From there, the Austrian then fended off multiple challenges from Liberal Rodas, who moved past Berry on lap two, throughout the remainder of the race to secure victory with the Spaniard just two seconds adrift at the finish. Race one winner, Cez, set the fastest lap of the race on his way to securing third and with it claimed overall victory ahead of Eder with Liberal Rodas in third.

On top of what was an exciting first round of racing that saw all competitors race on the same, but mildly revised circuit as the MXGP riders, round one was full of experiences for all involved. A track walk on Friday with Joel Smets (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager) and MXGP rider Mattia Guadagnini (Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing) made for an exciting and educational start to the weekend. The young riders also enjoyed a tour of the MXGP paddock with exclusive access to the factory racing teams of KTM, Husqvarna, and GASGAS where they met all their racing heroes.

The five-round 2022 European Junior e-Motocross Series continues next weekend at the Monster Energy MXGP of France on June 4-5.

Timoteï Cez: “My weekend in Spain was really good! I’m really proud of what I have achieved this weekend and for the next round I will have the red plate so my bike will look super cool! There was such a big crowd here and it was so much fun racing in front of them. This race was such a cool experience and I can’t wait for the rest of the races. I have to thank my parents and sponsors for getting me here and the goal for the rest of the season is to keep hold of the red plate.”
