The digital event, hosted by Lisa Leyland, was the occasion for the presenter as well as the media present to ask questions to Team HRC’s Tim Gajser and Ruben Fernandez.

When asked about the challenges of the upcoming season and what he was expecting Tim Gajser said:

“It’s going to be an exciting season, Jeffrey [Herlings] is coming back and there are so many good riders in the class, so I hope we all going to stay fit during the off-season and I think we are going to enjoy battling each other! My goal is trying to defend the title and enjoy as much as possible on the bike because I know that when I have fun, I can go very fast. And I am still hungry for more titles”

About the increase of overseas venues in 2023 Tim Gajser expressed:
“I think it is great to go and compete all around the world. I’m looking forward for it as it is fantastic to go to new places, see new people and experience many new cultures.”

Ruben Fernandez on his expectations for the 2023 season and also on joining Team HRC and Tim Gajser:
“I got to say it’s a dream come true tome, all the hard work during these past years has paid off as I joined the Team HRC. I feel more confident as with the support of this team I am sure I can show that I can battle at the top. And I am looking forward to improve it again next season. It’s not something you see every day, joining a 5 times World Champion. I feel lucky to join a team like this and especially together with Tim as he has always been a rider I look up to and I can learn a lot of things from him too.”

Ruben Fernandez, 2022
