MONACO (Principailty of Monaco) 11 May 2026 – After a five-week break, the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship is gearing up for the first GP of a triple header in Lacapelle-Marival for the MXGP of France on the 23rd and 24th of May.

Lacapelle-Marival will host the french Grand Prix for the first time since 2021. Additionally to the MXGP and MX2 World Championships, The FIM Women's Motocross World Championship 2026 season will kick off in the south-west french quarter as well as the EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing series will complete the action with their 5th round.

SX1 PRO ECU

At the core of the 2026 partnership is the GET SX1 PRO ECU, now widely recognised as a benchmark electronic control unit in professional motocross. MXGP serves as a true on-track test bench, allowing the SX1 PRO to be continuously developed, refined and validated alongside some of the best riders in the world.

Teams and Riders Highlights

For 2026, GET continues to strengthen its presence across the MXGP paddock, combining long-standing partnerships with key new additions. Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing will once again use the full GET electronic package, highlighted by the arrival of Tim Gajser, while GET electronics also support Yamaha’s development structure through JK Racing Yamaha, MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 Team and De Baets Yamaha, with defending world champion Lotte van Drunen competing in WMX on the GET SX1 PRO ECU.

GET’s technology remains central to Beta Factory Racing’s bike development using GET Smart Tools, while the collaboration with Kawasaki Racing Team continues in MX2 with Mathis Valin using the full GET electronic kit. Athena and GET also maintain their partnership with the Ducati Factory MX Team, supporting the Desmo250MX debut in the MX2 class through Team Beddini Racing, which also runs Ducati’s EMX250 European Championship programme.

For the first time, TM Moto joins the GET family in 2026, benefiting from GET data acquisition systems as part of its performance programme. The MXGP Commission, composed of Mr. Antonio Alia, Chairman (FIM Motocross Commission Director), Mr David Luongo (Infront Moto Racing President & CEO), Mr Biense Bierma (MSMA Secretary General) together with the Permanent Bureau composed of Mr Jorge Viegas (FIM President) and Mr David Luongo (Infront Moto Racing President & CEO) approved on 18 February 2026 the 2026 FIM MXGP / MX2 / Women’s / Junior and MXoN World Championships Regulations as well as the 2026 FIM Motocross Technical Regulations. MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 17 February 2026 – Infront Moto Racing confirms that the MXGP round originally scheduled for 26 April 2026 has been cancelled. As a result, the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship calendar will now feature 19 Grands Prix.

With the calendar now completed, the level of anticipation for the upcoming season has never been greater. The 2026 championship is set to deliver one of the strongest and most competitive line-ups seen in many years, promising intense battles from the very first gate drop.

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 28 November 2025 — Infront Moto Racing is pleased to announce several important updates to the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship calendar, further strengthening MXGP and restoring one of its most iconic venues to the series. 

The 2026 season will now officially begin on 7- 8 March, with the MXGP of Argentina returning to the spectacular region of Patagonia at the new lakeside circuit of Bariloche. The event will be the championship’s grand opening round, offering fans a stunning backdrop and a celebrated atmosphere to kick off the MXGP and MX2 campaigns.

One of the most significant highlights of the revised calendar is the return of Great Britain’s Foxhills circuit, which will host the MXGP of Great Britain on 18-19 July. This marks 26 years since Foxhills last welcomed a Motocross Grand Prix, reintroducing one of the most historic British venues to the world stage. The event will feature MXGP, MX2, WMX and EMX125, ensuring a weekend of world-class action for British and international fans alike.

Elsewhere on the calendar, Montevarchi will now host a streamlined program with EMX250 as its sole European class for 2026. In addition, there will be two TBAs, with the first one scheduled for 25-26 April and will include WMX and EMX125, adding competitive depth to this key spring fixture. The second TBA is scheduled for the 9-10 May.

The latest update will concern the FIM Europe European Motocross Championships as the EMX250 class will replace the EMX125 in Lommel during the MXGP of Flanders alongside the traditional EMX Open. 

The updated 2026 MXGP calendar reflects the championship’s commitment to deliver the strongest calendar possible and competitive racing across all classes. With a balance of tradition and expansion, the upcoming season promises to deliver one of the most diverse and exciting racing calendars in MXGP history.
