Thumbs Up for MXGP!

TALAVERA DE LA REINA (Spain), 10 May 2014 - Thanks to all the loyal fans of MXGP, MXGP’s Facebook page has reached an incredible 150,000 likes!

Since venturing out onto four of the most popular and widely recognized social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube at the start of season 2013, MXGP has been able to interact and build solid relationships with MXGP fans from all over the globe.

Facebook is undoubtedly the mecca of Social Media platforms with over one billion active monthly users. At the start of 2013, MXGP had only 1000 likes on Facebook. After just one month of interaction on Facebook, MXGP content had a reach of over 900,000 viewers on Facebook alone.

After one year of daily communication, up to the minute news and intimate details over what is going on in the world of MXGP, MXGP’s Facebook page had received 130,000 ‘likes’ and had extended its audience to over thirty million viewers. With a monthly reach of over 2,500,000 viewers, 20,000 more fans have given MXGP the thumbs up and ‘liked’ MXGP’s Facebook page since the start of 2014, resulting in yet another momentous milestone for MXGP’s social media platforms.

A substantial 59% of MXGP’s likes derive from people under the age of 24 with a whopping 92% stemming from males. Momentarily Italy leads the way as MXGP’s most engaged nation with 28,227 likes stemming from there, while a country more or less new to MXGP, Brazil, runs a close second as the most progressive nation.

MXGP would like to thank everybody for their on going support. Thanks to all of you, we’ve reached 150,000 likes on Facebook and to celebrate we are giving away two paddock passes to a MXGP round of your choice.

Winners will be announced on 12th May via MXGP’s Facebook page, so stay tuned and keep your thumbs up for MXGP!
