MXGP OF FLANDERS WORLDWIDE TV COVERAGE & TELENET-PLAY SPORTS EXTENSION DEAL AHEAD OF LOMMEL

LOMMEL (Belgium) 2nd August 2025 – The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship heads west to northern Belgium as the MXGP of Flanders welcomes the MXGP elite to the deep sands of the Stedelijk Motorcrosscentrum circuit on the outskirts of Lommel. Known as one of the toughest tracks in the world thanks to its relentless sandy waves and ever-shifting surface, Lommel promises an intense and unpredictable weekend of racing.

On track, MXGP World Championship leader Romain Febvre is being hunted down by teenage sensation Lucas Coenen, who will make his home debut in the premier class just ten points away from the series lead. Febvre has won two of the last four GPs held here, so the Frenchman will be a formidable opponent despite the partisan Belgian crowd cheering for their young hero. Adding to the drama, Jeffrey Herlings – one of only two riders to have won four GPs at Lommel – makes his surprise return from a collarbone injury to line up in Flanders.

In MX2, three riders remain locked in a tight Championship fight as the season enters its final phase. Current points leader Simon Längenfelder has climbed the Lommel podium in each of the last two years, but reigning Champion Kay de Wolf – last year’s winner here – is eager to reclaim points on his favored sand surface. Meanwhile, Italian former Champion Andrea Adamo has proven to be a dangerous threat in the deep sand, adding even more intrigue to the battle.

The MXGP of Flanders will also host the deciding round of the EMX125 European Championship Presented by FMF Racing, where Italian Nicolò Alvisi holds a narrow six-point lead over French prodigy Mano Faure in what promises to be a thrilling finale.

Off the track, Infront Moto Racing is pleased to announce the extension of its long-standing partnership with Telenet and its Play Sports channels, securing live coverage of the FIM Motocross World Championship for another five years (2026–2030). This agreement ensures Belgian fans can continue to enjoy every MXGP race and the acclaimed Behind The Gate series through Play Sports’ premium sports offering, which reaches over 1.4 million households and includes rights to the Premier League, Formula 1, ATP & WTA tennis, Bundesliga, and more.

David Luongo, Infront Moto Racing CEO: “This renewal underlines the strength of our collaboration with Telenet and Play Sports. Belgium has always been one of the most important countries for motocross, with legendary riders and a passionate fan base. Having MXGP available on Play Sports for another five years means we can continue to bring all the excitement of this amazing sport to millions of fans in Belgium. We are proud to be part of Play Sports’ premium sports portfolio and to continue growing the passion for motocross together.”

Vincent Stevens, VP Entertainment at Telenet: “We are delighted to bring the MXGP to our customers for another five years. This partnership has always been important to Play Sports, as it is a traditionally well-loved sport in Flanders. With a long-standing tradition of Belgian riders and a bright future ahead, this is the right move to service our loyal and appreciative customer base. MXGP deserves its spot in Play Sports’ rich portfolio of premium sports rights. As such, Play Sports continues to be the ‘Home of Motorsports’.”

TIME TO DIG DEEP AT LOMMEL FOR THE MXGP OF FLANDERS!

LOMMEL (Flanders, Belgium) 30th July 2025 – The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championships has a quick turnaround for the MXGP of Flanders this weekend, as the harder terrain and the hillsides of Loket make way for the undulating, infamously deep sand of the Stedelijk Motocrossterrein circuit of Lommel, one that even the toughest of competitors dread as one of the most physically demanding venues in the world of Motocross!

Despite Lommel’s historic reputation, established immediately in 1981 when Team USA famously took an upset win in the Trophée des Nations, their first in any team competition but the start of a 13-year unbeaten streak in such events, the first Grand Prix held here wasn’t until 1990, when Finnish rider Pekka Vehkonen took both race wins in the 250cc class.  The venue only gained a regular spot on the calendar from 2008, although it took two years out in 2012, when it hosted the Motocross of Nations for the only time, and in 2013, when the series went to Bastogne instead.  The top winners all-time here are Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado, who have each won four GPs in the deep black Belgian sand!  The most successful rider at Lommel who is racing this weekend is Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP star Jago Geerts, who won for three years running in MX2, from 2021 to 2023.

The MXGP class comes to Flanders with the smallest gap between the top two in the Championship since the very beginning of the season, as the red-plate holder for Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP, Romain Febvre, has just ten points over Belgian teenager Lucas Coenen, who comes to his home Grand Prix with a two-round winning streak for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing!  Behind them, Glenn Coldenhoff has had a run of finishing third or fourth overall in each of the last four GPs as he tries to lock down a World Championship bronze medal for the second time in his career, and the first one for Fantic Factory Racing MXGP.

The MX2 World Championship has been full of unpredictable results, with the podium positions only being repeated once all season, but Simon Längenfelder has more than doubled his career GP win tally this year, and holds a 47-point advantage in the Championship over fellow Red Bull KTM Factory Racing star Andrea Adamo. Reigning Champ Kay de Wolf is another 12 points further back for Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing, and won overall last year in Flanders, despite Längenfelder winning the second race.  Even with Adamo’s poor record at Lommel, this could see a titanic scrap between the title combatants!

The leading Belgian in the MX2 World Championship is Sacha Coenen, who won his only GP this year in the sand of Latvia for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, and will look to improve his relatively modest record at the Lommel circuit.  The other top Belgians – Geerts, JM Racing Honda’s Brent van Doninck, and VNT Racing KTM’s Nicholas Vennekens - will all look to get their home crowd cheering in the GP classes!

The EMX125 European Championship Presented by FMF Racing holds its final round this weekend, and the series is tremendously close between Italian Racestore KTM Factory Juniors rider Nicolò Alvisi and the new FIM Junior World Champion from France, Mano Faure on the MJC Yamaha Europe Official EMX125 squad. They sit just six points apart, and with roughly equal results in the sandy races so far this year, it’s anyone’s guess as to whose nerve will hold to tie down the title!  Filippo Mantovani of the Beddini KTM Racing Team sits in third, while Belgian stars Jarne Bervoets, teammate to Faure, and the Fantic Factory Racing EMX125 rider Douwe van Mechlegen, only just missed the podium in the sand of Finland, so they would dearly love to get up there on home ground!

The EMX Open European Championship has its single round this weekend at Lommel, and Czech rider Jakub Teresak will defend his title for KMP Honda Racing Team by DVAG, although he will have competition again from last year’s runner-up Jere Haavisto on the SILVE Racing KTM, and first race winner from 2024, Micha-Boy de Waal. The 2008 MX2 GP winner Gert Krestinov will also line up in this class, as will early-season EMX250 red plate holder Adrien Petit, who could be a real threat with his beach racing experience in the deep stuff at Lommel!  Latvian Mairis Pumpurs made a strong showing in his home GP earlier this season, so he could also have something to say about the podium places, as could French Tech 32 rider Tom Guyon, who scored the very first points for Triumph in MXGP at Ernée this season.

The MXGP of Flanders will be a gruelling and challenging weekend for everybody that takes to the start line, and the racing could be some of the best this season, with many riders able to challenge on a circuit most of them know extremely well.

It’s coming down to the smallest of margins in MXGP at the top of the Championship table.  Romain Febvre took two wins from the three races at Loket, but a tiny slip in race one on Sunday meant that Lucas Coenen still caught up by five points over the weekend, leaving the gap at just ten between them as they head to Lommel!

In terms of their form in the Belgian sand, as usual it is Febvre who has the strongest history here, with six career podium appearances including two GP wins, in 2021 and 2023, both of them against such sand-masters as Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado.  Third last year even on a comeback from injury, the strong Frenchman is not to be underestimated in the heavy going.  Coenen, meanwhile, had a crash-affected GP last year to score 5-8 finishes for seventh overall. Two seconds behind Jago Geerts in 2023, plus his first ever EMX250 victory in 2022, show that he’s not allergic to the sand, so the question is if the young pretender can cope with the pressure of his home GP to bring the fight to Febvre!

Glenn Coldenhoff took a race win at Lommel in 2022, and has finished third overall here on four occasions over the years. A 6-6 for fifth overall last year shows that he can get the Fantic around Lommel quickly, and his 43-point advantage over Ruben Fernandez in the battle for third is looking healthy. The Honda HRC pilot missed last year’s event and took a best race finish of sixth in 2023.

Although he doesn’t like to be classed as a sand specialist, Calvin Vlaanderen has taken his best results this season in the soft stuff, including his first podium of the season in Finland for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP. He has finished second overall twice at the venue just down the road from the team’s workshop, and for sure he will lift the blue brand’s spirits if he can match or even better that in 2025.

Andrea Bonacorsi has been strong in the sand this year for Fantic Factory Racing MXGP, and an improvement on his ninth position last year is likely. He pushed Coenen to the limit in EMX250 three years ago, and could be a surprise force this weekend as he tries to defend sixth in the series from Maxime Renaux.  The Frenchman is fighting through another injury-affected season, but has twice got on the podium here in MX2, so if the body is strong enough, he could put in a good result, maybe even enough to bridge the two-point gap to Bonacorsi!

Aruba.it Ducati Factory MX Team rider Jeremy Seewer is not a sand specialist, but now up to eighth in the standings he will do all he can to grind out a result. He has climbed the podium twice here in the past, but a return in 2025 would be a surprise. Jago Geerts , who had that winning streak at Lommel from 2021 to 2023 in MX2, needs seven points to move past the injured Kevin Horgmo for 11th in the Championship, and if he gets a start like he did at Lugo in May then he could even be a threat to win again! He will have no shortage of fan support at his home GP.

Ben Watson for MRT Racing Team Beta has happy memories of Lommel after two race wins and three podium finishes in MX2, including the Grand Prix victory at the last of three rounds held here in 2020.  Tenth overall in 2023 is something he will be looking to match or better on the Italian machine.  Brian Bogers took his single career GP victory here in 2022 and could again be strong for Fantic Factory Racing MXGP, while Roan van de Moosdijk has memories of a race win in MX2 and second overall here in 2020 as he continues to campaign for the KTM Kosak Team.

Finally, Brent van Doninck is a sand master himself, with the JM Racing Honda team workshop within sight of the finish line jump, and in a year where he has troubled the top ten on many occasions, he could be a nuisance with a good start this weekend!

The most powerful bikes at the track will be a challenge for the very fittest riders on one of the toughest circuits in the world, and the MXGP elite will be tested to the maximum this weekend, which should make for some amazing racing! Don’t miss this one!

Simon Längenfelder comes to Lommel with the red plate and a 47-point lead over Andrea Adamo, as both riders took a race win in Czechia to capitalise on a rough day for reigning World Champion Kay de Wolf.  De Wolf took overall victory here last year with a 1-2 scorecard, and just missed out on the GP win, which would have been his first, with the same scoreline back in 2022.

He must come in as the favourite this weekend, especially as he needs to make up 12 points to catch Adamo before he can even think about Längenfelder. The German is no slouch in the Belgian sand, however, having taken third overall here in each of the last two years, including the second race win in 2024.

Adamo is the one who might not look forward to this weekend, after missing last year’s race due to injuries from Loket, and finishing seventh and eighth here in the two years before that.  His sand form has been better in 2025, and the gritty Italian is likely to dig in for a good result.

Sacha Coenen is another with a less than impressive record around the Flemish circuit, with a best of ninth overall last year, but he is 28 points ahead of Thibault Benistant for fourth in the series and hoping to keep the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 star at bay.  The Frenchman hasn’t lined up here since 2022, when he took sixth overall, although his best of fourth overall came in 2021.  He did take three wins out of four at this circuit in the EMX250 class during the 2020 season, however, so he can still ride in the heavy going!

While Liam Everts is still unable to compete for Nestaan Husqvarna Factroy Racing due to his injuries from Finland, he is still unlikely to be caught by Monster Energy Triumph Racing star Camden McLellan, although the South African likes a bit of sand and was third in the opening race here last year.  His teammate Guillem Farres has moved up to ninth in the series, and last saw Lommel back in 2022 in EMX250, when he finished second in race two to Lucas Coenen! The Spaniard hasn’t had his best results in sand this year, but with good starts he could still be a threat.

Valerio Lata is eighth in the Championship for Honda HRC, and still the top rookie, and he won the EMX250 round here last year with two second places. Van Venrooy KTM Racing’s Cas Valk won the second race that day, and is now tenth in the standings in MX2, hoping that the deep sand can spark a return to top form.  He is the highest-placed rider in the Championship without a win of any kind, and would dearly love to rectify that situation at one of his more local rounds!  Mathis Valin, who completed that 2024 EMX250 podium with a 1-4 scorecard, is coming off his best GP weekend yet for Kawasaki Racing Team MX2, and will be keen to show off his sand skills at a venue where he was also a podium man in EMX125 two years ago!

EMX250 regulars Nico Greutmann, Liam Owens, and Mads Fredsoe of the Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna team, Max Werner and Gyan Doensen of Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors, and Ollie Colmer for Chambers KTM Racing, who becomes the first British rider to race MX2 this year, all help to fill out a 40-rider entry list for one of the toughest GPs of the season!

LUCAS COENEN AND LÄNGENFELDER ARE THE LORDS OF LOKET AT THE MXGP OF CZECH REPUBLIC!

LOKET (Czech Republic) 27th July 2025 – Following a wet and muddy Saturday, the legendary venue of Loket dried up perfectly for today’s Grand prix races, and a bumper crowd gave a great atmosphere for the main races, as the MXGP elite fought to add their names to the illustrious list of winners around the Loketske Serpentiny circuit!

The 14th round of the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championships saw bright sunshine throughout the day, and victory went the way of Lucas Coenen in the MXGP class for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, although Romain Febvre struck back with a second race win to take second overall for Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP, and hold on to his Championship lead for now! Consistency and good starts helped Glenn Coldenhoff secure third overall for Fantic Factory Racing MXGP.

After a difficult race on Saturday, MX2 red plate holder Simon Längenfelder re-asserted his authority at the top of the Championship with a brilliant overall victory ahead of fellow Red Bull KTM Factory Racing pilot Andrea Adamo, who took a strong win in race two.  After taking his first Qualifying Race win on Saturday, French teenager Mathis Valin scored his first career Grand Prix podium with third overall on Sunday!

Both classes served up a real melting pot of fortunes for riders up and down the leaderboard in a hectic Grand Prix on the spectacular Loket circuit!

The leading pair in the World Championship topped the table in the morning Warm-Up, and although Lucas Coenen doesn’t normally push in this session, maybe he wanted to send a message to Saturday’s Qualifying Race winner Romain Febvre with a final lap time that just about got him ahead of the Frenchman.  Roan van de Moosdijk was a surprise third for the KTM Kosak Team.

Knowing how important a good start can be around the Loket circuit, Coenen pulled a stunning Fox Holeshot by the tiniest of margins from Jan Pancar on his private TEM JP253 KTM, while another privateer, Isak Gifting on his JK Racing Yamaha, crucially pushed past Febvre in the second corner, and became an obstacle for the series leader for the next two laps until the Kawasaki man forced his way into third through a tight s-bend section!

By that time Coenen had already stretched out a nine-second lead over the impressive Pancar, but Febvre was unable to instantly make a move on the Slovenian.  Ruben Fernandez had put his prototype Honda HRC machine into the top five from the start, and went around the outside of Gifting for fourth on lap four.  Still behind Gifting was a wealth of factory talent: Jeremy Seewer for Aruba.it Ducati Factory MX Team, Maxime Renaux for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP, Glenn Coldenhoff for Fantic Factory Racing MXGP, Seewer’s teammate Mattia Guadagnini, and a fast-starting Tom Koch on the MRT Racing Team Beta!

Seewer got past Gifting on lap nine, just as Coldenhoff made a move past Renaux for seventh.  The Swiss rider made a mistake three laps later, however, and dropped to eighth, where he would finish.  Guadagnini clashed with Brent van Doninck on lap 16, an incident which put the Italian on the ground, and sent the Belgian down the pit lane entrance!  Sadly for the JM Racing Honda man, he rode through the pit lane and got disqualified for not stopping, as per the regulations.  This promoted Jago Geerts to ninth for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP, and Brian Bogers up to tenth for Fantic Factory Racing MXGP.

Gifting was passed in the closing laps by Renaux for sixth, but after 12 laps of sitting in Pancar’s wake, Febvre finally made a move stick with an aggressive pass in a right hander to take second, with Coenen already long gone! Fernandez also made a move around the Slovenian four corners later, as Coldenhoff also closed in!

To the shock of everyone, Febvre then dropped the bike in the banked corner behind Pit Lane, and allowed Fernandez, Pancar, and Coldenhoff up to finish second, third, and fourth, leaving Febvre down in fifth and losing nine points to Coenen, leaving the gap at just seven!

Race two began with the Frenchman doing exactly what was required to take back the initiative – get a good start! Narrowly missing the Fox Holeshot by a tyre-width to Coldenhoff, Febvre had Coenen right behind him, but the Belgian was unable to make a pass on his Championship rival.  Meanwhile, Renaux and Van Doninck were picking themselves up in the first corner in an incident which also brought Fernandez to a halt, although the Spaniard recovered brilliantly to sit in 13th by the end of the first full lap.

Gifting held a solid fourth ahead of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP’s Calvin Vlaanderen, with Pancar well up again in sixth ahead of Seewer, Geerts, Bogers, and the third Fantic Factory Racing MXGP machine of Andrea Bonacorsi.

Febvre was able to edge ahead of Coldenhoff at the bottom of the circuit on lap three, but Coenen was not able to follow him past and sat behind “The Hoff” for most of the race.

Pancar hit troubles on lap seven, and even had to re-fit his chain partway through the race! His final result of 16th left him in ninth overall ahead of Bogers, a pale reflection of the speed the privateer showed all weekend.  Bonacorsi got past Bogers for ninth at two-thirds distance, while a heroic Fernandez got all the way up to seventh after an aggressive move on Geerts with three laps to go.  This left the Belgian eighth overall behind teammate Vlaanderen, who was locked into fifth behind Gifting all the way to the finish of race two.

Seewer took sixth in race two to lock in that position overall, while Gifting’s fifth overall marked a brilliant return to action after several GPs away!  Fernandez had done enough with his brilliant recovery to salvage fourth overall.

At the front, Coenen was battling arm pump and took until lap 14 of 19 to make a firm inside pass on Coldenhoff for second.  He closed the gap on Febvre considerably to within 2.5 seconds at the flag, but the red plate holder had nudged the Championship gap back up to ten points!

Coldenhoff’s third overall was his first ever podium at Loket on his twelfth attempt, and reinforces his position of third in the series by 43 points over Fernandez.  Coenen took his 14th career Grand Prix win with a 1-2 scorecard, while Febvre’s second overall was his twelfth podium finish in a row.

The battle for the red plate moves to Coenen’s home GP next weekend at Lommel, where Febvre has won two GPs in the past, so both riders will doubtlessly bring their ‘A’ game to continue what is turning into an enthralling duel for the 2025 MXGP World Championship!

Lucas Coenen: “I mean it was good. I came out first and gained some points, which I didn’t expect because I was really careful on the track. In the second race I felt good, then I made a small mistake but regrouped, passed Glenn (Coldenhoff) and pushed to catch Romain (Febvre), who was far ahead. I closed the gap, which is good for confidence, and I know I have the speed and the fitness. Now let’s keep rolling and have some fun at the next GP."

Romain Febvre: "It was an up and down weekend. Yesterday was good, but in the first race today I didn’t get a good start and had to work hard to get up to second. It took me almost 25 minutes to pass Pancar, and then I made a big mistake on the last lap and rushed, which cost me second and dropped me to fifth, so I was really disappointed. The second race was much better, I took a good start, got into the lead quickly and built a gap to win the race. Still, I feel like I could have won the GP, so a little bit disappointed with that."

Glenn Coldenhoff: "Yeah sure, it’s been another good weekend. In the first moto I missed the start a little and had to fight hard but still managed to get fourth. In the second moto I pulled the holeshot and tried to stay in front as long as I could. I battled with Lucas and made some mistakes, even stalling the bike on the last lap, which was scary, but I still finished third in the moto and got another podium. Things are looking good and I can’t wait for Lommel next week."

On the drier circuit in morning Warm-Up, Thibault Benistant posted the fastest time for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 with his last quick lap of the session, while Camden McLellan got up to second for Monster Energy Triumph Racing, and Simon Längenfelder showed that he was over Saturday’s disappointment with third.

The red plate holder blasted to his sixth Fox Holeshot Award of the season and made the best use of the clear track to instantly pull away at the front ahead of his teammate Sacha Coenen, who had got past the Monster Energy Triumph Racing machine of Guillem Farres just after crossing the finish line to start the first full lap.  Valin was in fourth ahead of Benistant, and although the two Frenchmen got past Farres on the first full lap, the Spaniard instantly snatched back fourth place with an aggressive move on the Yamaha man!

Valerio Lata ran sixth for Honda HRC ahead of Andrea Adamo, while Kay de Wolf, arguably the pre-race favourite for Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing after his incredible pace on Saturday, was languishing back in eighth.  His race got worse with a slip in a corner behind Pit Lane on lap four which dropped him back to 11th, leaving the reigning Champ with a lot of work to do again!

Adamo, knowing that his title rival was blazing away in front, moved forward to further his cause by passing Lata smartly around the outside on lap six, although a tip over impeded his progress on lap 11.  His fitness paid off though, with two late passes on Lata and Benistant to claim fifth at the flag, just ahead of De Wolf who had also battled past a frustrated Benistant, who took too long to pass Lata and had to settle for seventh ahead of the young Italian. Karlis Reisulis on the Monster Energy Yamaha and David Braceras, returning from injury on the JM Racing Honda, completed the top ten.

Längenfelder dominated the race and won by 16.5 seconds from teammate Coenen, with Valin scoring his best GP race finish to date in third ahead of Farres!

Things would get better for the teenage Frenchman as he took his first Fox Holeshot Award of the season in race two, while Adamo was looking to make amends for the points lost in race one, and was scrapping in second! Lata was again right up there in third, with Längenfelder fourth and Reisulis getting a flyer in fifth!

The two Triumph riders were on the rise, however, and Farres soon led McLellan in fifth and sixth, while De Wolf again had work to do from eighth by the end of lap one!  Sacha Coenen’s hopes of a podium were also dashed with a start well outside the top 15.  Längenfelder passed Lata for third on lap three, as De Wolf also passed Reisulis for seventh, while Benistant and Braceras ran ninth and tenth.

Adamo bided his time on the dry and slippery circuit but pushed past Valin to claim the lead on lap five and never looked back!  Farres and McLellan had both got past Lata by this sage, but the South African fell prey to De Wolf, who also then took fourth from Farres on lap ten!

Lata, still battling with a shoulder injury, dropped to tenth at the flag to claim that position overall, while Reisulis again took ninth for that overall result, giving him his first back-to-back top ten results of the season.  McLellan’s eighth overall wasn’t a fair reflection of his speed, while his second race fifth was a better indication of it.  Benistant scored seventh in each race for seventh overall behind Farres, which was the Spaniard’s best since his podium in Germany.

De Wolf could only claim fourth in race two, and his fifth overall puts him 59 points off the series leader.  Coenen’s recovery from a poor start was typically spectacular, so his 2-8 scores were good enough for fourth overall.

Valin was only passed for second place by the Championship leader on lap 13 of 18, and the young Frenchman was justifiably elated to take his first ever Grand Prix overall podium, and Kawasaki’s first in MX2 since September 2023, when Kevin Horgmo took a race win in Türkiye.

Adamo’s sixth race win of the year puts him 47 points off the series lead, which is still held by Längenfelder as the German, in the closest GP to his home town, took his seventh career Grand Prix victory to tighten his grip on the red plate still further.  The big test for the leading pair will be Lommel next weekend, but they can rest assured that they leave the Czech Republic with healthy points advantages over De Wolf.

The destinations of both Motocross World Championships are still very much in question as we head to the deepest sand of the season for the MXGP of Flanders to start August in style!

Simon Längenfelder: "This one feels nice. The first race was a holeshot and win, but for this overall I really had to fight. The track was so slippery, you had to push in places you normally don’t but that’s the nature of this track which I like. I’m really happy to take the overall, and I think it’s my first one this year without going 1-1, so that’s nice."

Andrea Adamo: "In the first race I didn’t get the best start and then I crashed, so I had to fight back to seventh and then fifth, which was quite good. In the second race I did what I had to do, got a good start, stayed in second behind Mathis (Valin) and won. Super happy with that, so let’s keep going like this, there are many GPs to come."

Mathis Valin: "Yeah, it feels so good. I started well all weekend, won my first qualifying race and then had two good starts, two good races. In the second race I couldn’t get the victory, but at least we did the podium, so I’m super happy about it. Thanks to everyone, and I just want to say thank you to my family and my friends!"
