Bucharest (Romania) 21 September 2024 – The Motocross of European Nations got underway at the TCS Racing Park today, with the qualifying races to establish the gate pick in tomorrow’s main races for the 85cc & 125/250cc classes, while the Women’s Motocross of Nations also held their qualifying race in the afternoon sun of Romania.

The qualifying heats were crucial for the teams aiming to secure the best possible position on the grid for tomorrow’s races, where points will be counted, and the winners will be crowned in the MXoEN and WMXoEN classes.

The 2024 Motocross of European Nations in Bucharest, Romania, was officially launched yesterday during the Opening Ceremony at Promenáda Mall. The event saw the participation of all the European riders and their teams, marking the beginning of an exciting competition.

The ceremony commenced with the gathering of teams in a great and joyful atmosphere and followed by speeches from key figures including Organizers Cristian Popescu and Adrian Raduta, Motocross of European Manager Patricia Maskarova, and Chairman of FIM Europe Motocross Commission Andrea Barbieri.

In the 125 & 250 race it was Alexis Fueri, wearing the number one plate as a late replacement for Quentin Prugnieres, who stood in dutifully for Team France, but it was a close-run thing against arch rivals Italy, as Fueri battled with his EMX250 rival Francesco Bellei for the duration of the race!

Bellei actually led until the very last lap of the race, but Fueri made the move into the lead with just a few corners remaining! Bellei tried to retaliate but hit Fueri’s rear wheel to crash just a few metres before the finish line jump! 

With a 50-second gap back to Spain’s Salvador Perez, Bellei managed to remount for second, with Fueri’s teammate Tom Brunet coming home in fourth to make France the best scorers in the race. Nicolo Alvisi took fifth to put the Italians close, while Elias Escandell came home in sixth to make it look like a three-nation battle for the MXoEN title tomorrow!

The same three nations battled in the 85cc qualifier as well, as Spain’s Jorge Salvador claimed the holeshot, but was passed by the Italian Andrea Uccellini after a few laps, and although Salvador stayed close to the flag it would finish in that order.

France’s Leo Diss-Fenard took third, as each team’s second rider also packed positions four to six, with David Cracco fourth for Italy, ahead of France’s Kenzo Ferez and Spain’s Pau Caudet.  Italy earned the top gate picks for tomorrow by just a single point from France, with Spain a further three points back.

France was the top team in the Women’s Motocross of Nations qualifying heat, as their riders April Franzoni and Jesse Joineau took third and fourth place, although the win went to pre-race favourite Daniela Guillen, who overtook German Larissa Papenmeier in the early laps to claim the win by just under three seconds at the flag!

Papenmeier was helped by Alessandra Massury to put them joint second with Spain, as Guillen’s teammate Jana Sanchez finished in seventh.  It could be a very close race between these three Nations for the Women’s title tomorrow afternoon!

With the qualifying action concluded, it is time to look forward to tomorrow’s races as we gear up to crown the 2024 Motocross of European Nations and Women’s Motocross of European Nations Champions!

BUCHAREST (Romania) 20 September 2024 – As the MXGP riders recover from the trip to Türkiye and China, it’s the turn of the teenage future stars of the sport, as well as some of the world’s top female racers, to shine as they look to represent their country at the Motocross of European Nations, incorporating the Women’s Motocross of Nations, held this year at the TCS Racing Park to the north of the Romanian capital, Bucharest.

The TCS Racing Park has been active since 2001 and is the base for their very own Top Cross TCS Motocross team. The venue features circuits for Endurocross, 4x4 off-road vehicles and Rallycross, as well as its world class Motocross facility.

The event, which was last held in Spain at Talaveira de la Reina in October 2022, sees two-rider teams for each nation in 85cc class races, for riders between 11 and 14 years old, as well as open 125/250 races, for riders between 13 and 21. With two races per class, the best seven of the eight scores will count to give the final scores. 

In the Women’s event, for riders of 14 years of age and upwards, two riders from each country will also have two races, with the best three of the four results counting.

The most successful nation in the MXoEN since this format was introduced in 2013 is Italy, with four victories to France’s three in the seven events held so far.  Team France are the reigning Champions, and will welcome back MX2 rider Quentin Prugnieres of the F & H Racing team to wear the #1 plate and lead their team again. He was also part of 2017’s winning French squad when he raced an 85cc!

His teammates Tom Brunet, plus 85cc riders Leo Diss-Fenard and Kenzi Ferez, will have their hands full with a tough Italian team, consisting of 2024 EMX125 race winners Francesco Bellei and Nicolo Alvisi, with top six EMX85 finalists Andrea Uccellini and David Cracco racing in the Azzurro Blue on the 85s! 2022 podium finishers Spain also field EMX contenders in the shape of Elias Escandell and Salvador Perez.

Reigning Champions in the WMXoN are Spain, who took their first win in this event on home soil last time out, led by World #2 Daniela Guillen, who returns with the #1 plate to defend the title alongside Jana Sanchez. Daniela’s toughest individual challenge may come from German WMX round winner Larissa Papenmeier, who lines up for the first time since helping her nation to second overall in 2019, and this year has WMX top ten finisher Alexandra Massury to help Team Germany go one better!

MONACO (Principality of Monaco), 19 September 2024 – Infront Moto Racing is thrilled to announce the entry lists for the 2024 FIM Europe Motocross of European Nations and the Women’s Motocross of European Nations, set to take place at the TCS Racing Park near Bucharest, Romania, on the 21st and 22nd of September.

This year, the MXoEN promises intense competition, featuring 13 teams in the men’s category and 10 in the women’s. The reigning champions, Team France, will be looking to defend their title they won with Mathis Valin, Quentin-Marc Prugnieres, Mano Faure, and Amaury Maindru. Prugnieres will be back to lead the French team. Team Italy and Team Spain will be the ones to watch as they are strong contenders for the title this year. Meanwhile, in the women’s division, Team Spain, led by Daniela Guillen and Jana Sanchez, will aim to keep their crown after a victorious performance on home soil in Talavera de la Reina in 2022.

AGUEDA (Portugal) 2 May 2024 – Infront Moto Racing is delighted to unveil the Spanish venue of Cózar, as the host for the thrilling final round of the 2024 MXGP series, making it the third Spanish stop of the season. The MXGP of Castilla La Mancha will take place on the 28th and 29th September. 

This event highlights the growing passion in Spain for motocross and provides an exciting new home GP for our defending World Champion and current red plate holder, Jorge Prado.

The MXGP of Castilla La Mancha promises to deliver exhilarating action as it brings the season to a close. Additionally, it will serve as the ultimate showdown for the European support classes; EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing and EMX250.

Riders will face a challenging and diverse track featuring spectacular jumps and tight corners, pushing them to their limits in pursuit of the final podium of 2024. Nestled in the natural surroundings renowned as the land of Don Quixote, the venue offers a picturesque backdrop.

The MXGP of Castilla La Mancha also aims to promote development and forge connections between the sport and the region of Castilla de la Mancha. This project represents a significant stride towards linking the region with the global motocross community for many years to come.

Castilla - La Mancha was declared last December in Toledo as the European Region of Sport for the year 2024. In this context, the association of sports clubs of Tierras del Quixote and the Castilian-Manchegan motorcycle federation have collaborated and worked together to ensure that the region enjoys the best of motocross worldwide.

Further to this announcement, the Motocross of European Nations (MXoEN) that is set to be held at the TCS Racing Park near the Romanian capital Bucharest, will be pushed a week later to the 22nd of September 2024. The MXoEN and WMXoEN come back after 2 years and will be a celebration of many European riders who will race together and in teams to lift the MXoEN and WMXoEN trophies.

YZ bLU cRU FIM EUROPE CUP SuperFinale

2024 has already been another record-breaking year for the Yamaha YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup, with more than 750 riders aged between eight and 16 years signing up to race either a YZ65, a YZ85 or a YZ125 in 25 countries throughout Europe. Every rider is competing for a place on the start gate at the YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale, which again runs alongside the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations and will take place at Matterley Basin in Great Britain on 4-6 October. For the first time, the YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale will feature a truly international field, with riders from the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, and Brazil set to take on their European counterparts.

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 22 December 2023 – Infront Moto Racing is excited to unveil updates to the 2024 racing calendar for the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Maggiora, one of the most historic motocross tracks in the world, is set to host the MXGP of Italy on the 15th and 16th of June, for the 10th round of the 2024 MXGP series. 

The Italian venue witnessed the triumphant crowing of Jorge Prado and Andrea Adamo in MXGP and MX2 in 2023. The old-school circuit of Maggiora has a rich history dating back to its inaugural event in 1966, and has been the centre stage for many spectacular races since then. 

Showing its importance in motocross, the picturesque Italian track has hosted 3 Motocross of Nations and 12 events of the FIM Motocross World Championship. There’s no doubt that the hilly Maggiora track will continue to deliver a fantastic show for the enjoyment of all motocross fans. The MXGP of Italy will also be featuring the WMX and the EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing.
Still in relation to the support classes, there will be a change in the MXGP of Flanders at Lommel. Specifically, the EMX125 presented by FMF Racing and the EMX250 will swap, with the EMX250 category racing alongside the EMXOpen category.

Further updates for 2024 includes the long-anticipated return of the Motocross of European Nations on the 14th and 15th of September 2024 following its regrettable absence in 2023.

The venue that was chosen to host the promising event will be the TCS Racing Park, near Romanian capital, Bucharest. Renowned as one of the best motocross tracks in Eastern Europe, the venue is not new to international events as it successfully hosted the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in 2023 and is fully geared up to welcome European teams and riders for this prestigious event. 

In 2022, the competition took place in Spain at Talavera de la Reina where Team France emerged victorious in the Motocross of European Nations category and Team Spain triumphed at home in the Women's Motocross of European Nations.
