Monaco (Principality of Monaco) 16 October 2024 – Infront Moto Racing and the FIM Europe would like to announce an update to the 2025 Motocross European Championships Calendar.

The highly anticipated Motocross of European Nations (MXoEN) will now take place on 12th October 2025, at Castelnau de Levis, France, moving from its original 21st September date.

The best male and female European athletes will gather in France to compete for the prestigious MXoEN title, making October a thrilling month for motocross enthusiasts.

In 2024, Team Italy clinched the MXoEN trophy with Francesco Bellei, Nicolò Alvisi, Andrea Uccellini and David Cracco to place their country at the top of that event. In the WMXoEN, it was Team Spain with Daniela Guillen and Jana Sanchez who made it to the top with strong races from the duo and two race wins for Guillen.

The MXoEN and the WMXoEN promise to be another highlight for many young European riders who will put all their efforts to put their country on the top step of the podium!

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 10 October 2024 – Infront Moto Racing is delighted to announce the provisional 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship Calendar, featuring a series of exciting events at some of the world’s most iconic motocross venues. The 2025 season will deliver a total of 20 rounds and will culminate with the prestigious Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations at Ironman Raceway, USA, from October 3rd to 5th.

The 2025 season kicks off with the MXGP of Argentina once again where the world's best riders will test their form but this time at a brand-new venue in Cordoba. As tradition, this event will also host the FIM Latin American Motocross Championship sole round, including the MX1 and MX2 classes.

From there the action heads to Cózar, Spain for the Grand Prix of Castilla La Mancha followed by a highly anticipated return to the historic Saint Jean d'Angely in France for the MXGP of Europe.

Italy will play a pivotal role early on with back-to-back races in Sardegna’s Riola Sardo and the picturesque Pietramurata for the MXGP of Trentino. Continuing the intense competition with Switzerland at Frauenfeld to mark the first triple-header of the season.

Then a yet-to-be-confirmed location in the beginning of May followed by a return to Spain in a location to be announced soon. The adrenaline continues in late May with another trio of races as the championship sweeps through France at the magnificent Ernee, Germany’s staple of Teutschenthal, and then Latvia’s famed Kegums circuit in early June.

Following a brief break, the series shifts to Indonesia for back-to-back events in Sumbawa and Lombok, igniting global excitement as the championship moves beyond European borders. After the summer pause in July, racing resumes with a classic European stretch featuring rounds in the Czech Republic at Loket, Belgium’s demanding Lommel circuit, and the MXGP of Sweden in Uddevalla.

The final leg of the European season wraps up in Arnhem, Netherlands, before the series ventures into its final international phase. Turkiye's Afyonkarahisar will welcome the riders in September, followed by exciting races in Shanghai, China, and, for the first time ever, in Darwin for the MXGP of Australia as the season races toward its thrilling conclusion.

The FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship will feature six rounds in 2025, beginning with the season opener in Sardegna at the Riola Sardo circuit, setting an exciting tone for the competition. From there, the WMX Championship will travel across Europe, with rounds in Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands in Arnhem, followed by the penultimate event in Turkey. The series will culminate in a grand finale at the MXGP of Australia in Darwin, where the WMX, MXGP, and MX2 classes will join together to cap off an unforgettable season. 

In addition, the European Motocross Championship in the EMX250 and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing classes will feature 11 rounds as support classes for the MXGP Championship. Both series will begin with the second round of the season and the first European event in Cózar, Spain. The EMX125 category will conclude in Uddevalla, while the EMX250 finale will take place in Turkiye. On top of that the final rounds of EMX65 and EMX85 and the unique round of EMX2t will take place in Loket during the MXGP of Czech Republic while the sole round of EMXOpen will run at the MXGP of Flanders at Lommel. 

The FIM Junior Motocross World Championship will take place on the 6th of July at Romagné in France, while the Motocross of European Nations on 21 September will also land in France at the venue of Castelnau de Levis.

BUCHAREST (Romania) 22 September 2024 – In near-perfect conditions at the TCS Racing Park near Bucharest in Romania, the Motocross of European Nations and the Women’s Motocross of European Nations saw a great day of action in all classes!

With a brilliant team effort, on top of individual brilliance for their 85cc rider Andrea Uccellini, Team Italy took the Motocross of European Nations trophy for a record fifth time, with just a three-point winning margin ahead of the reigning champions, Team France!

In the Women’s Motocross of Nations, reigning Champions Team Spain defended their crown thanks to the sheer speed of Daniela Guillen, operating on her favourite hard-pack and working past Team Germany flyer Larissa Papenmeier on each occasion.  She was backed up by solid performances from Jana Sanchez, as Germany took second place on a tie-break with Team France!

The racing took place after an opening ceremony which saw speeches from several dignitaries, namely Andrea Barbieri, the FIM Europe MX Commission Chairman, Patricia Maskarova the MxoEN Infront General Manager, as well as TCS Racing Park representative Ciprian Popescu and Nikoleta Olariu from the Romanian Motorcycling Federation. Patricia handed Mr Olariu a commemorative plate as a reward for good organisation of the event, where every rider’s comments towards the circuit and organisation was full of enthusiasm.

As with Saturday’s Qualification Race, the battle came down to a clash between Italian Francesco Bellei and French #1 plate holder Alexis Fueri.  The French spearhead took the Holeshot but with a determined move, Bellei was able to take the lead on lap two and never looked back, except maybe to check on how his teammate Nicolo Alvisi was doing! The answer was very well, backing up Bellei with a great third place to instantly give Italy an early advantage. Team Slovenia were in the mix with their Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations MX2 rider Jaka Peklaj taking fourth and their 125cc rider Lukas Osek claiming seventh.

Team Spain took an early dent to their hopes with a big crash for 250 rider Elias Escandell, although Salvador Perez claimed sixth for them on his 125. Tom Brunet kept France in the hunt with fifth position.

Fueri fired to another holeshot in race two, as Bellei slipped off to cost him a chance of challenging. Fueri held the lead to the chequered flag as Bellei recovered to take second, and French 125 pilot Brunet claimed fifth to make it a solid race for the defending Champions. Alvisi also crashed but still finished sixth for Italy ahead of the battered Escandell, while Perez made up for his countryman’s difficult race by claiming fourth, the top 125cc rider.

Perez was the top 125 man on the day ahead of Alvisi and Brunet, but Fueri claimed the 250cc individual win over Bellei and Peklaj, whose teammate was only 16^th in race two.  Overall, the Italians won for a one-point advantage over the French team from these races.

In the 85cc class for 11- to 14-year-old riders, the first race holeshot went to Spain’s Jorge Salvador, but Italian sensation Uccellini stayed just behind him all race, before pouncing on the final lap to take the lead and the race victory by less than a second!  Amazingly, the three leading teams all took seven points from the race, as David Cracco took sixth for Italy, Pau Caudet took fifth for Spain, and French pairing Kenzo Ferez and Leo Diss Fenard packed together in third and fourth!

Fenard claimed the holeshot in race two ahead of Salvador, but Uccellini was unstoppable and waltzed to the race win, as Cracco improved to fifth place to make the difference as Caudet backed up Salvador to put the Spaniards in third and fourth, but Ferez could only get sixth while Diss Fenard’s second position brought France a score two points worse in the race than Italy!

As the Italians celebrated their first win since 2019, France just held back Spain for second overall, with Poland claiming fourth overall ahead of home team Romania 1.

WMX veteran Larissa Papenmeier took a stunning holeshot in both races but was unable to hold back the unstoppable force that is twice WMX Vice-Champion Daniela Guillen, who powered to the race win by over ten seconds in both races. 

Despite Guillen’s teammate Jana Sanchez suffering a crash in race one, the reigning Champions were able to keep their title due to Sanchez being able to keep Alessandra Massury of Germany behind her, and the French duo of April Franzoni and Jesse Joineau never being able to break the dominance of Guillen and Papenmeier at the front. The Germans claimed second, as they last did in 2019, and France’s third position was their first WMXoN podium for ten years, since the days of multiple champ Livia Lancelot leading their effort!
