Another strong team has been anounced for the 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France on 6-7-8 October with Team Netherlands.

This Dutch Team is going to be a solid contenders for the podium with a mix of experience a raw talents with the same line-up as last year in RedBud.

Team manager Barry Forschelen: “Although the riders fought like lions, they were still a bit disappointed after last year’s seventh place. Now we are back, with a strong selection that will give everything to achieve success.”

After weeks of expectations waiting, the names of the Italian riders who will wear the Maglia Azzurra at the Motocross of Nations have been revealed for the 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France on 6-7-8 October.

Giovanni Copioli, FMI President: “We are thrilled to present this team, made up of young riders ready to give their all for the Maglia Azzurra as they have already done in the past. Each of them has experience in this Trophy, a fundamental aspect to best face such a high-value competition. I am sure that there will be a strong team spirit not only among the drivers but among all the parties involved in this trip in which we want to confirm ourselves among the reference national teams. It will be the first Nations after the Cairoli era: I am convinced that the boys will put on track the values transmitted by the nine-time world champion".

Thomas Traversini, FMI Technical Commissioner: “Our boys can't wait to take to the track in the colors of Italy. When I told them of the invitations, they expressed great enthusiasm and desire to compete in the most anticipated competition of the year. I have followed them since they were very young and I know well that they have great human as well as technical qualities, so I am sure that there will be a great team spirit. There are numerous teams equipped to aspire to the podium; we, as always, will aim for the top levels of the rankings."

The Finnish Team are the latest to announce the three riders who will make their way to Ernée, France in October for the 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations!

The same trio as the last two editions will compete for their country.

Emil Weckman: "Motocross of Nations is undoubtedly the highlight of the season, and it's fantastic to represent Finland again," says Weckman, who is participating in the Finnish national team for the third time. "I've competed in Ernée twice before, so the situation is a bit easier compared to last year in Michigan, where the track was completely new to me. Also Ship To Cycle Honda SR Motoblouz team is from France, so this race holds special significance for them as it's their home race."

Jere Haavisto:  "I'm thrilled to be part of the team once again. I participated in my first Motocross of Nations in Ernée in 2015 when I was just 16 years old. To be honest, going up against the world's top riders in front of such a massive crowd was a bit overwhelming at the time. But having participated in MXON three times now, I've become accustomed to the thrill. I'm currently in my third season with the Finnish Silve Racing team, and with each passing year, we've been progressively narrowing the gap towards the leading contenders in the MXGP series. Overall, I'm feeling pretty confident as we approach this year's race."

Miro Sihvonen: "I started my national team career in Ernée just like Haavisto, back in 2015. It's amazing to think that it's already been eight years since then. Representing Finland in the Motocross of Nations is an honourable task, and I'm proud to be part of the team for the fifth time. It's great to be back in the team with Jere and Emil, and I’ll be working hard in the upcoming month to prepare for the race" 

Kusti Manninen: “The conditions for this year's race are naturally more favourable, as all riders will be able to ride their own race bikes instead of borrowed ones, and the track is familiar to all our riders. On the other hand, Ernée's hilly and tight clay track isn't traditionally the optimal terrain for Finnish riders used to sandy tracks. Fortunately, Emil Weckman, based in France, has been primarily training on clay tracks for the past couple of years, and Jere and Miro also have many years of experience on the hardpack tracks of the World Championships. Passing on the Ernée track isn't easy, making good starts super important. I've emphasised to the riders that they should work on their starts thoroughly. The starting gate order for the qualifying heats will be drawn, adding an element of luck into the mix. Luck or not, I have confidence in our team, and the goal is to continue the strong performances from the last two years

Team Latvia has announced their rider line up for the 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations that will take place in Ernée on the 6th, 7th and 8th of October

The Latvian line-up will certainly have all their chance to get a good results in at the MXoN.

The 2022 edition of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations has concluded and once again, the event was nothing short of incredible with intense races and amazing fan support which created a unique atmosphere that the Monster Energy FIM MXoN is so known for.

While the top teams fought for the Chamberlain Trophy, there was another big award up for grabs – that is the Fox Holes Award!

Starts are always a fundamental part of any race strategy but even more so at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations as each team fight for every possible advantage. And with many riders joining us for the race weekend from all corners of the world, it gave the opportunity for somebody new to have a shot at winning the Fox Holeshot competition.

In the first race (MXGP/MX2) it was Team Belgium’s Jago Geerts who was the first rider to reach the first corner and claim the first Fox Holeshot of the day, while in race two (MX2/Open) the cheque went to Team Italy’s Mattia Guadagnini who led the rest of the field. In the third and final race of the day (Open/MXGP) the final Fox Holeshot went to Team France’s Maxime Renaux who went on to claim the race victory and helped put Team France second on the box.

The winners of the Fox Holeshot Prize not only got the advantage of getting out front in the races but were also awarded with a prize cheque.

REDBUD (United States) 27 September 2022 – Following the tradition of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations this year’s winners Team USA were presented with special Champion rings to secure their historic victory at the 75^th edition of the event.

Team USA’s Eli Tomac, Justin Cooper and Chase Sexton were presented with the silver jewels by Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo at the winners press conference in Redbud, following the last race of the day.

These unique pieces of jewellery are custom-made to symbolise victory, each one engraved with the year and the location of the event, as a special keepsake for the riders to remember this triumph in the future. 

The rings were designed and produced by the Italian company ‘PR Model’ which is headed by Mr. Telemaco Cane, a huge fan of motocross himself.  It was the perfect way to celebrate this years winners and marks the end of the 75^th edition of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Redbud, USA.
